Heh I'd take one but as far as Im aware the Blue Crayfish (as it is commingly known as) is the only crayfish/lobster species allowed in the UK from export.

That is true but these are a shrimp not a crayfish, these are commonly sold as wood shrimp or bamboo shrimp here in the UK.

I bought my 2 or 3 of those for about £4 ($7) each, if not less.

Strange how some lfs charge so much, when other sharge so little...

I paid £4.99 each for 2 of mine and £3.99 each for the other 3.

I've had two - the one was £7.50 (for a small one) and a large one I paid £10. Guess it's demand & availability that dictates some of the prices.
