FW dwarf puffer

A 10 Gallon filter will be ok in a 7G tank, as long as the only occupant is the dwarf puffer and you make sure to keep up with your waterchanges. Puffers are very messy feeders, and can produce a lot of ammonia because of this :)

I personally suggest you don't try and keep anything in with a dwarf puffer. I've had no luck what so ever. If you really want it to have a tank mate, try a bristlenose catfish. They seem to be one of the only fish that a lot of people have good luck with keeping in with dwarf puffers. Another good tankmate can be a bumblebee goby, taken you can find freshwater ones. With all fish though, I'd say, don't keep them unless you can re-home them within a minute.

Also, please Always keep a good eye on them, dwarf puffers can live with a plec or anything for months and even years accepting them fine, to them turn on them and kill them within an evening.

Puffer freaks read-through has already been posted, so I won't post that one again :)

your just the person i was waiting for :) thank you much for the help!! and my pestmart sells gobies in FW form... same for crabs!!

Good! :D Try some gobies then ... just make sure you can re-home them into 1 of your other tanks :) Though, I'm quite sure you should be fine with them. I have not once heard of a puffer turning on gobies, people think it's the colours that scare them off *shrug*

Don't try keeping a crab with them though ... Crabs are known fish killers, no good. Also, though they would probably make nice feeders, they have a high chance of inflicting a lot of damage with their claws. For live feeders I'd recommend snails (not malaysian trumpet snails, but all others are fine) or shrimp ... river shrimp often last a couple of days, clean up the bottom, and then get turned into a nice snack for your puffer :)

Good luck!

ooo thanks alot :) hehe i have also heard that you can keep albino cories with DPs cause the color confuses them or something?!?!

I haven't ever heard of that, and I wouldn't try it
I've tried keeping SAPs with corydoras ... I'll never do that again. They made a lot of effort to actually chase and harrass my corydoras, while they left my other fish alone. Actually, not true... I found out they nipped (and de-formed =/ ) on of my banjo's top fins as well ...

Just not worth the risk.

aww im sorry *hugs* well im not gonna test it and run experiments on my fish :) plus im not falling to much for albino cories anymore... died to easy!
