Fussy eater!

Hi all.... as you can see in my sig i've got an Albino Tiger Oscar.
The problem i have is that he's 4 1/2 anches and he refuses to eat the Hikari Cichlid Staple i've got him.... i've tried him on other brands but he just frows @ them and swims away! He loves his prawns and goes loopy for catfish pellets though. How can i get him to eat the food he's meant to?

hi i had 2 full grown orcsars that will not eat anything but prawns or live bait as i dont like to feed on feeder fish i have fed them on prawns and the occasional earthworm and they are fine ill post apic in a few mins so you can see

Thats ok then.... 4 a while i thought i had a mad oscar! I'm a picky eater myself.... darn that would be awful if he grew up as fussy as i am!

its ok im going to post some pics of my oscar tank so you can see them they eat about 20 prawn a time each lol

hi candyco....well u could try by not feeding him anything for a week. dont worry he wont strave to dead. also stop feeding the other fish since your oscar love catfish food. then feed him with what he is suppose to eat after the week had past ...presto ! believe it or not.

most oscar are fussy eaters... although mine would eat anything you threw in the tank..

yea most oscars dont have a problem with food selections, they eat almost anything. in malaysia we call them PIG FISH....just like a pig , oscars will gobble up anything eatable. maybe european oscars are more pampered unlike their poor asian cousins.hahaha
