Funny Side Fins

Cloud's side fins look- well- tattered. The clear part is still there, but the color looks tattered. What is this? I put a wee bit of melafix in the tank... any other ideas?

no live plants
silk plants, castle and cave
filtered w/ a whisper 10 and a bubble curtain (powered by a 2 gal air pump) that he plays in

Just keep up with nice clean water and a bit of melafix and hopefully that will have his pectoral back to normal in no time
