Hi All,
It’s time to close down and sell up as my wife and I are moving to the USA to take care of her sick Dad. This has been with me for a long time and I am really sorry to have to close down this tank (and my Cichlid tank on a separate thread) as it’s been such an important part of my life for so long.
I have all the pictures below for you on the equipment, spares, tests and food. A brief list is below, I have too many spares to list but have a close look through the pictures and you'll see everything!
I would really prefer not to break this down so my preference would be to sell as a complete setup and have priced it based on that (I know I would get more by breaking it down but I just want to see it go to a good home as I have known it) so its £700 all in.
I am based in Milton, Cambridge.
Equipment:
Fluval Venezia 190 Tank and Cabinet (this has been modified to take 2 fans and an additional Compact Fluorescent lighting setup but the lighting is not included in this sale)
Ehiem 2217 Classic
Fluval 205 Filter (as a second filter)
Four 150w heaters
2 x Digital Thermometer
Full pressurised CO2 setup including a CO2 bottle, Dual Gauge regulator, CO2 diffuser (connected to outlet of Eheim Filter), pH controller set at pH 6.5
Airpump, airstone and tubing
Three Extension Leads
Test kits; CO2, PO4, Fe, GH, KH
Various types of Food including Prima, NovoBel, Hikari Algae Wafers, frozen beef heart, frozen mussels.
Dry fertilizers: Potassium Sulfate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Potassium Nitrate and 2 bags of trace mix
Fluval Lab Series Nitrate remover
A full RO system with DI: Loads of tubing, an additional washable 20 Micron Filter (great for hard water areas), Di resin, D-D Pressure Booster Pump, Float Value and solenoid, 200 litre Water butt.
Powerhead for waterbutt
Breeding Net
48 inch tweezers
Stocking:
2 Red Pidgeon Discus
1 Blue Turq Discus
1 Cobalt Blue Discus
1 Siamese Algae Eater
3 Albino Bristlenose Pleco
1 L128 Blue Phantom Pleco
1 L014 Sunshine Pleco
1 L134 Leopard Frog Pleco
1 L007 Galaxy Pleco
9 Rummynose Tetra
Tank Specs:
Kept at a temp of 28.5 Degrees
Nitrate kept under 10ppm
A minimum of 50% water change per week over 2 or 3 changes
pH kept between 6.50 and 6.47 by the use of CO2 injection
No substrate has been used to keep nitrates low but I have loads in my garage so if some if required it can be easily included. No ornaments are used but I have some ocean rocks or quartz rock which could be used and would be included if required.
This is a massive amount of equipment so you would probably want to bring a van to fit it all in!
Any questions let me know!
