theyre bootiful!!!! i hope i get fry when my tank is sorted!!, were having a blackout due to BGA at the mo.. :( i want to be a grandma! :)
 
I think shes still big because maybe she has another batch to drop? Dunno. its her first batch...
 
They can't drop two batches. She's probably not the mother. Do you have another female?
 
I have only 2 spotty platys, one female and one definately male. The female was captured and gave birth in the breeder box shortly after. Shes the only one who could be the mama.

Also, I thought it was possible for livebearers to drop some fry, then birth the rest a week or two later? My Swords do it all the time, but this is my first Platy batch..

Never heard of that happening or witnessing it or even reading about it before this. My livebearers went through the full pregnancy perioud between births, including the platies.
