Fry Update: Photos

Ive been feeding them 5 times a day but im not sure how much to give them. I noticed what i give them there is always much left over. Maybe i should put less. I mean there are 38 of them but how much could they eat. any suggestions

i got over 70+ mollies and guppies fry in a tank and i only feed 2 times a day and i don't feed that much because i see all of the flakes going right at the bottom of the tank ,if u crush them up finely they will stay on the top , well i think your feeding them too much food

Ok i thought that was too much but i saw a few places that said to feed them up to 6 times a day and that is too much i thought. I have the same issue the food stays at the top for awhile and then sinks to the bottom. If there is plenty of food could i just maybe feed them 2 times a day and possibly they will eat the food at the bottom?..

I have 4 platys and i have 2 other pregnant females. There is a male in the tank and the one female is the only one that hasnt been pregnant and the one that just had babies is constantly being bothered by him and she doesnt seem to be taking well to it. Do you think i should possibly seperate him from them espically the one that just had babies because she probably will end up having more without mating with him. The one that isnt pregnant hoping that just being in the tank with him for a few hours she doesnt end up pregnant lol.

Quick Q.. I clean the bottom of my tanks 2 times a week and i would say with each tiem that i clean the bottom i have to replace 30% of the water so is that enough for a week?.. My one fish had some typ of fungus and it was pretty bad i put in some type of fungus tablet and then i eventaully added some salt and the temp is about 76 - 78 degrees and i will say it cleared up very quick less then a week. They finally are swimming around a lot more and seem to be much happier with the temp and the little bit of salt added i have added seems to really have helped them

6 times per day is overkill IMO. I feed my fry 2 - 3 times per day and they do just fine. :good:

Oh i learned that very quickly lol.. Maybe after a day i saw they didnt eat much at all. They are eating much more now but i only feed them 2 times a day and spread out over a 12 hour period.

All 4 of my platys are pregnant now all in different stages from one closer to giving birth to one just starting to show. Now the one that has gotten much fatter she has been acting different lately. I only had one platy that had babies so far and she was calm. The one that is closest to having her babies usually was calmer herself but lately espically when i was just watching her a few minutes ago she is racing all over the tank back and fourth. I dont know if that might be a sign that she will give bith soon as i read they tend to hide and keep to themselves. Can someone give me a heads up. I have been thinking about seperating her but not sure if i should wait maybe a day or two yet. Why do you think she is racing all over the place none of them are really bothering her maybe the male at times but not too much.

Another one of my fish had 46 babies as of so far. also where can i get the strips to test my water for free. Also how many fish for a 10 gallon. have platys, guppies, and mollies.

Since the 46 had got another 52 in the past few days and i still have 5 pregnant fish yet lol. The babies all seem to be doing pretty good. So i have baby platys, mollies, and gupiies. Gonna have to find a few some homes at some point as i have about 140 babies.

i noticed my one fish has bumps/lumps on her was wondering what it could be and also how could it be treated. I put in a fungus tablet which kills that and bacteria but i dont know how she could have gotten it when i clean the tank about 30% 2 times week.

here are two photos of the babys. i have guppies, platys, and a molly.

Most of those bigger ones, look plenty big to go with the adults now, and it means that the rest of the babies will grow faster.
