USA,
my baby guppies were getting big and growing. Now they stopped. Theyre almost 5 weeks old tommorow, they were born May 19th 2004, lol, and theyre only 1 cm or so long. Is there anyway to make them grow faster because i cant wait to get them into their own tank. ( I think my mom will let me get another tank for them because she loves the little babies :D )

how many do you have, what size tank are they in, what do you currently feed them and how often do you feed them?? all factors in growth................

Keep the water quality good and regular partial water changes...

www :)

Guppy fry should not stop growing until the fry are the size of the store bought guppies. For best growth feed them live brine shrimp, its not hard to grow. Clean the tank at least once a week and make sure they have plenty of space to swim. Usually the size of the tank makes a big difference.

Heres my tank schedule:
Breeder Trap = 0 weeks to 1 week old
1 Gallon = 1 week to 1 month (depends on size)
5 Gallon = 1 month to 2 month olds (depends on size)
10 Gallon = 2 month olds and above.

theyre in a 1 gallon, its a long one, um, i feed them 3-4 times a day. and i do do partical water changes at least everother day. i dont have any brine shrimp, maybe i should get some, and i was just at the fish store, lol. I have 7 of them.

If your going to be growing brine shrimp several times its best just to buy it online. Its alot cheaper and probably a better shelf life than at the store that has been sitting there for who knows how long.

North American Brine Shrimp

Edit: Forgot to add. The reason your guppies aren't growing as much is because of your tank size most likely. It sounds to me like you should move your guppies to a 2.5+ gallon at the min.

i cant get another tank though.

but I can tell the sex because the girls have little gravid spots, and they boys have black tails.
