Hi everybody
I just purchased 2 sunset Platies (male & female) and was wondering... if they did have babies, could maybe 1 or so survive with a populated tank? I have the fish listed below in my signature. I know that most will get eaten but is their a remote chance that maybe a couple will survive?? :hyper: Thanks for the input!!!! :D

hi H2O - chances aren't good of the fry survivng with the other fish there unless U are there and can put them into a net breeder. I've got a 5 gall tank with 2 guppies (M & F) and a chocolate gourami and few if any of the fry survive even though there are floating plants for the babies to hide in. My gourami hunts them down!!! Would move him to my 10 g tank but have another gourami in there and they fight. In my other 5 g have 2 guppies and loads of babies survive. :-(

i would put them in a breeding net or trap! becouse i have a guppy that gave birth to alot of babys *9/3/03* and it was out of the breeding trap and i have 3 female mollys and i am so serprised that my mollys didnt eat eny of the babys that were just swimming around my tank! but i cought mostly all and i found 1 out of the breeding trap and hasnt got eatin yet so its a luck baby! -_-
