Fry And Their Mums

hey this may seem like a strange question, but do you think fry know who is their mummy in their tank??

Yeah. I'm my fry's mummy. I feed them 4 times a day and won't eat them!
But seriously, no I don't think they do.

For livebearers, no they do not. You don't want to get too close to your mom, who will eat you. Other fish like Discus and some Cichlids that hang around their parents, yes.

oh ok thanks, i was just wandering as my 20+ fry in my tank swim altogether all the time and whenever their mum swims past them they all follow like little ducklings its really cute
