frozen foods

I use an old cup, and put about an inch of Tank water in it. Put the frozen food in and let it defrost, takes just a few minutes, but do make sure it's completely defrosted. I also use a spare pipet (from a test kit) to feed, as it's easier to control how much I put in.

for my frozen peas i just put them in a closed hand and blow air through the closed fist.
This defrosts them in a minute. =] Then i squish the good stuff right into the tank and throw out the shell. ;)

When I used to work at the LFS we just plopped the frozen cubes into about an inch or so in a bucket of tank water and let it defrost but not all the way. Then I would just put a pinch in every tank.

I do exactly the same as Kent. It allows me to not feed too much at one time and muck up the water, and to put it in different parts of the tank so that the less aggressive eaters get enough.

If you just plop a frozen cube into a community tank, only a few fish will nibble on it at a time.

I just use an old top off a interpet medicine bottle, let them defrost, add some tank water then feed with a piplette.

Hi schizo_fish :)

I just break off pieces and let them set in a dish on my kitchen counter until they are defrosted. It doesn't take very long.

Then I use a seafood fork to pick them up and plop them into the tank. :D

I put it in a little paper cup, then scoop some tank water into it. Swish around until all the worms are separated and then pour them, a few worms at a time, into the tank. I try to pour it so that everyone gets some worms and no worms make it to the bottom of the tank.

i know lots of people that like myself
that put the cube in the tank
straight from the freezer
i dont see any probs with doin it
this way it still breaks up lettin
the bottom feeders eat as well
as the fish that r a little aggressive
eat while it defrosts at the water surface

but each to there own lol

seams to me people r makin a easy job
really difficult just throw it in they will all eat
the hobby is hard enough without addin
more problems

The problem I find with just throwing the cube in is that it makes a big mess. I defrost in a cup and slowly feed them a bit at a time. This minimizes the mess.

I also just throw them in...........
me too....gives the cories a chance to munch on them as well then because some sink to the bottom and the higher feeders don't get chance to eat 'em all first!!

if any are left on the bottom by the time my corys have had their fill then my rams and gourami will hunt them down and clear 'em.
