What would be the best to feed my fish - at the moment I have 4 Tetras, 1 Platy and 2 Platy fry. I feed them flakes and peas at the moment, but I don't think the fry are getting enough nutrition.

What is the best food to feed them and does anyone know what's the cheapest I can pay for it (unemployed at the moment)?

I put it in a cup with some tank water and let it defrost and then put some in

The fry will do fine on crushed flakes
+1
Or visit a LFS that sells live brine shrimp.
Pour them out of the bag into a net and give them a rinse in some tank water before you feed them.
You get loads in a bag for around £1

I just throw mine in froazen always have done no problems

I do both, defrost in tank water and also just throw it in.

Normally LFS's sell them 5 packs for £10. Each pack has 20+ small blocks. There is a variety of different packs. I have Blood Worm, cyclops, brine shrimp, mysis, daphnya (sp), tube worm.

One thing I would like to know about is about frozen bloodworm, my lfs said all CA/SA cannot digest it properly and die from it, Is it true?

I just get some tank water in a cup and drop a frozen cube in til it defosts, then tip it in by spreading over the tank. my fish love frozen food, they have bloodworm, brineshrimp, daphnia and cichlid diet(not all at once), all bought from pets at home 5 for a tenner.

They also have Tetra Pro Colour crips/flakes.

Agree, by the time its pulled of the frozen block and in their mouth, its defrosted. Might be a bit colder than having defrosted it, but not brainfreeze material, and certainly doesnt seem to kill fish.
