I'd love to buy some real live foods, but nobody sells them around here. my LFS doesnt stock them, and neither do the 3 big chain stores around me... :(

When i gave my fish there bloodworm today, i used the trick on here that someone advised, putting it into a net, and running in hot water, it disolved all the bloody water, and left lovely yummy worms, well the fish thought so anyway lol... It was great, will be using this method from now on ;)

My lfs sell live blood worm, but it doesnt look like you get many, and what do you do with the water its in? Just put it all into the tank?

Pop them in the net again and run under the tap (not hot water, I never said hot water) .

Hello everyone!

Finally I find an answer to the same question I had to SkiFletch! Many thanks for all the tips that have been posted here!! I could not find any instructions whatsoever on any manufacturer's website!

I will try to feed some frozen bloodworms to my fish tomorrow! I will defrost them in a cup first (with water from the tank) ... depending how much mess I get in the tank by doing just that, I'll try the trick with the net the next time round.

Many thanks!

I usually cut my frozen squares into half or quarters bec a full square seems too much. Depending on how many fish you have...

Then I just drop them in. I think in the warm tank water it thaws very quickly...

Same here I always cut mine up because I have some very greedy fish that will try to eat it all. Usually that way not a lot is left on the bottom.
