I usually feed bio-gold pellets and fd bloodworms to all my bettas and they love it and have had no problems. but about once a week i will feed frozen bloodworms and maybe brine shrimp on another day. But more to the point, everytime my bettas eat the frozen bloodworms they get very fat and bloated? Is this normal? they never get so fat when they eat other food. But after a day or 2 they seem back to normal (as in size). No behaviour change or nothing, just plain fat.

um well it depends on how much you are feeding them.. if you give them alot yes their tummies will look fat and bloated. I usually only give mine 3 or 4 bw if that all im feeding them that morning or night.

When I gave my betta 3 bloodworms it ate them rapidly but then started to float on its side ??swim bladder. Next day he was better. How many frozen bloodworms do members feed their bettas in one feed ???

well dont do what i do but mine get about 10-12 frozen bloodworms nad have no problems.

One rule with bettas (not directed towards anyone, YET!! ) don't overfeed. Bettas will eat as much as you feed them, they are little piggys. I don't really know how much frozen BW to give them, but FD I will feed my bettas two in the day or night and then go back to feeding them 3-4 pellets depending on weather.

dont the frozen bloodworms come in all these cube looking things? they contain at least 100 something worms i would guess. If u only have a few bettas and u wana give them frozen food how can u go about this if u only feed a few at a time? what do u do?

my bettas acutally get frozen blodowroms pracitcally everyday (as wtih my females), they are spoiled little things :D

i break off the chunks into two pieces, thaw one and put the other one back in the freezer. I use a tweezers nad jab it in the center of the cube and it usually breaks it quite well :)
