Hi guys! My lfs just stocked in on some six stripped or was it five stripped frontose they are like small for cichlids about this long: ____________ so do you think its ok to keep 2 of them in a 10g?? how do you sex them?? are they easy to breed?

Absolutely not. Every cichlid is that small at some point, absolutely not. Even if you have a big tank to move them too you will stunt them in the process.

''are they easy to breed''
you said you werent gonna breed anything cause u didnt have the time. :S

I can understand, if you see frontosa, why you want to breed them, such amazing fish!!
Unfortunately, I don't have the room for them, so I just stare at them in the lfs for a while :)

i doubt that they are different than a normal frontosa. probably juvies. an adult frontosa is a large cichlid. they come from the deep waters of lake tanganyika. they are a beautiful fish. i had a male and 3 females in a 180 to give you and idea of the requirements for them.

also, frontosas do not reach sexual maturity until about 3 years of age. they are not one of the easiest to breed either as the females have a tendency to swallow the eggs. generally, frontosa females are stripped of their eggs, which are quite large, and tumbled in an egg tumbler. the incubation period for frontosa eggs is approximately 30 days.

These Frontosa will get up to 14 inches long. However they will grow slowly, so the 10 gallon will work for a little while. I have an 8" Burundi and a 3" Aqua blue. I get the aqua blue when it was about 1.5" back in February, and has only doubled in size in the last six months. Frontosas grow slow. My 8" Burundi, was about five inches when I got him in January, and he has grown 3 inches since then. You will need a bigger tank for sure. Eventualy, if you want them to be happy and healthy, you will need at least 80 gallons. Today you are ok for a bit.
