Friends Sunset Honey Gourami Not Looking Good

OK well as this is a friend fish I probably don't have as much information as would be nice but I'll tell you what I know and saw and hope someone can help. She had her tank water tested about a week ago at a maidenhead aquatics and they said all was fine. The fish is extermly bloated and looks about 3 times the size of the other one which shows no sign of this. Unfortuanlty gourami's have never interested me so I know nothing about them. The scales look as though they are sticking out but as the fish is so bloated that doesn't suprise me. It also blows bubbles every minute or so,not sure if that has anything to do with it. I belive she said the fish in question has been like this for a week or so. Not sure if it is male or female. All other fish in the tank seem fine. If any more information is needed then I can get that as my friend live only a couple of doors down.

you can try cooking some pease then mashing them up, also use medication. others will help you with more information on treatments.

Thanks for that. I had kinda thought it was but as I don't know much about gourami's and as my friend thought it might be pregnant I wan't sure. After reading around about dropsy I have a feeling she might have left it too late but we can only try. What medication have people used and had sucess with? I live in the UK. I will make sure it is put in it's own tank and start with a few peas later today.
