hello
My friend is currently renting and when he moved in discovered there was a fish pond out the back with koi in it. The landlord had vacated to Australia and forgotten about them. After emailing the landlord which took sometime he has been given permission to sell them, since the filter etc was really eating into their electricity.

I havent been able to obtain much detail from him but they are a good decent size (looking at around 10 inches up). He couldnt tell me colour variants but what prices can he put on them to sell and would you recommend anyway particular to go?

First thought is that they can't be worth that much if the previous owner just left them behind. 10" isn't ginormous for a koi and they are mainly priced based on size, lineage, conformation, colour and health.

I would say that his best bet is to get some good pictures, then post them on a dedicated Koi forum and have them 'appraised' by posters. I wouldn't excpect too much for them though.
