Now i test my water now and then, however at the time of the bristlenose plecs i did not test, however i know my ph is around 8.0-8.5.....
But as to adapting the water no, however when i got some channa bankanensis with the goal of breeding i was planning on lowering the ph with the aid of oak leave's, i know of a bank's breeder in sweden that use's oak leave's in his tank and has a fair few sucessful breeding's, however they are renowned as evil and sure lived up to there reputation,,shame

brilliant mate they are growing well thanks for joining us mate keep us posted too

yeah i second that well done to nelly & afishdude excellent pics those channas make me want to breed them in my 100 litre but im actually breeding kribs, so looks like the threads of to a good start :hyper:

And i know it looks like load's of food but i seem to get the best pictures at feeding time :D

All the ones in the main tank got scoffed expected that ...Thought the rest would survive woke up next morning to some white one's removed those by the time i got home from work they were all white ...So all infertile right? better luck next time ...Hopefully be more prepared .May be sooner than i think as another 2 are starting the wee dance ritual so think they've paired too ...And one has just disapeared been gone for 2 day's now and i'm scoobied if you think i can find it ! lol

Not nesserally, they need to be constantly fanned,a air tube flowing is good for this but making sure the bubbles do not actually touch the egg's, also people use methane blue to stop eggs fungus'ing up, even when mine cared for eggs first three times it did not make it past egg stage, then i got to tail on egg stage, then i got to free swimming stage, then i got to free swimming + 1 week stage but found out male was eating them, had no extra tanks so sold them to modaz as thought better someone make the most of a breeding pair...

heres my old pair

Great Pictures ...I had flow from FLuval 2 directly flowing sorta under the net and into at the same time ...Just want to know if egg's will be viable that way i can say i have a Breeding pair...Sounds daft but i like it lol .Will try the meth blue the next time and see how that goes.

:D
