Hi are there any such thing as freshwater slugs as i can't find any info on them? The reason i ask because i have a 60 liter full of snails and when i syphoned out the sand i found like 0.5-1cm in length and 0.5-1mm slug type creatures at the bottom of the bucket. They are like brown in colour and slither along bottom. At first i thought they were baby slugs from outside as bucket was kept outside. Another time i did a water change bucket had been left inside so i thought they were baby snails out of shell?

Thanks

no such thing as aquatic slugs. the things in your tank are either worms or leeches.

Yikes are they bad to have? I'm not gonna lie they creeped me out lol. They stay under the sand as i never seen them out. Do leeches stay under sand? Thanks i'll try to do some research to see which one they might be.
