Freshwater shrimp suggestions?

Hi I have a planted set up tank with cordy, White widow tetra, and minnows oh and 1 zebra snail.

I am thinking of adding a few shrimp, but don't know where to start really.... I'm looking for something that isn't going to reproduce out of hand, so I think the crystal varieties possibly? Also I'm wondering if the other fish in the tank will be compatable with them.
And is there anything to avoid when buying?

I'm not sure about the cordy, but shrimp will be fine with the other tank mates. My experience is with dwarf shrimp and they are great, but they can reproduce rather quickly sometimes. If you have a fish store nearby, you can often donate the excess there. I even get store credit for mine, which I use to subsidize my hobby. My favorite type are the Blue Velvet Shrimp.
