Freshwater Puffer

depends on the dimensions. 120Gall standard footprint is the minimum for an Adult T. Lineatus.

I've got mine in a 5x2x2 and wouldn't keep it in anything less. I'd say no.

I suppose a 240 gallon tank is too small for a nile or mbu puffer, but what else is there of a decent size & freshwater....dont want figure 8's or dwarf puffers....is there any fresh puffers that grow to around 6" or so?

240g would be fine for a fahaka/nile puffer.

The other decent sized puffers are the targets, check them out.

52 Gallons is still fine for all of the target puffer family :)

a 4 foot 52 gallon tank is big enough for a Fahaka Puffer which can grow 17 inches (43 cm)??

Try reading Fella's post again ;)

He said "52 Gallons is still fine for all of the target puffer family" not for the Fahaka

Yeah like I say, i wouldn't keep my fahaka which isn't full grown in anything less than a 5x2x2, 150g.
