Clams are filter feeders. Do not crumble up flake food for it because it won't eat it. All you will do is cause ammonia problems that will kill the clam.
Use a clean fish sponge to wipe algae off the glass and squeeze that out over the clam.
Use a liquid invertebrate food for marine corals and clams and add some of that once or twice a week.
