Why would he want to freeze them 
Some people put them in the fridge for 5 mins before they feed them to lizards as it slows them right down so its easier for the lizards to catch them.I have heard of others putting them in the freezer for a very short time to get the same effect but i personaly dont do either as all my Lizards get a lot of exercise chasing crickets about.
