i have been offered a tank 49" x 15" x 15" and stand from a stranger clanining out his garage i offerd him some money and he said "no, i know its going to a good home"

Now what to put in it....?

ok, well i don't know where you could put it, but there sure is plenty of room for fish in there!
really depends on what fish you like or what ones caught your eye once at your lfs. any fish you particularly want?

sweet! i too have had the same luck recently with pretty much the same tank x2 being given to me. mine are a little higher tho.

im also stuck for stocking ideas.lol, im thinking one tank full of Raphael catfish and a shoal of something, the other will be a nice community tank with many different fish

whatever you decide, im sure it will look great. they are nice sized tanks and if you use your imagination, it can be an amazing aquarium

at a size of 49 x 15 x 15 you would get a few in ok yeah.

I was thinking a big shoal of small fish would look cool like cardinals or something. thats not a bad size footprint either so you could have a couple of the smaller plecs

I would do a sand substrate with plants and a lot of small fish. Like sterba corys , cardnal tetras , harlequin rasaboras , fancy plecos , etc.

double post fail lol but yeah what he said. im doing something with slate soon either slate or pebbles would look great on sand!
