Well I brought a new Anubias Nana today, so I brought it home in the usual fish bag with no water in it what so ever. That journey took me 20 minutes. I then put the plant in, did not like how the tank looked, so did some rearranging. So I moved the occupants out and did a major rearrangement, banging all the plants and stuff around in the tank. After all this, comes a little shrimp crawling around, well its not little, its bigger than my endlers.

Need to figure out what it is. Who could have guessed that a shrimp could survive out of water for so long, and then take a beating from all the tank rearranging. He is currently doing very well a good few hours later.

I’ll try and get pictures for identification. But im now already persuaded to get more.

that is seriously cool!!! ud think if it was a shrimp that
came in on a plant that itd be a ghost shrimp since thr so small.
but that is awesome. :D

Pretty cool man I would bet its an amano. I had one hitch a ride with some fish I got. He disappeared one day and after that the tank became the home of juvi cichlids(texas/sevs/BP)well a few months later I was moving stuff about and out he popped. He's now living in my shrimp tank.I'm surprised he didnt end up a snack.

Well turns out it is indeed an amano shrimp.
I have to say, seeing this critter has really given my a liking for them.

Im actually changing the tank's stocking plans to incorporate a few more.
Im in love with them.

I cant believe how hardy it has been as well – through all of this and still going.
