I had 4 danios, two zebra-quicksilver and lightening, two leopard-leo and lance. Leo was the more aggressive of the group and largest. Lance recently died, and Leo's become extremely aggressive toward the other fish-mostly tetras and two platys. He's been terrorizing the neons. I've noticed nipped tails. Leo will chase any fish including going after my Siamese Algae Eater. He leaves the platys alone (they are larger than him).

Any suggestions on how to deal with him. Would more danios help or should he be removed. I've been told that danios can get aggressive when they get older and larger. I know danios do better in groups but I've never heard about them being agressive until recently.

danios are a schooling fish and best kept in schools of atleast three or more. think you would need to get some more of the danios to maybe calm him down some.

Like maggie says a few more of them should help, but I'd up the number to at least 6 (jmho) ;) and they don't seem to mind mixing different species.
