Frag Box Modification

Hey All!

This is some thing i came up with. It good for zoa and shroom frags, ill show you how to make it.

Mushroom and Zoanthid Frag Box

Supplies
1 Breeding trap
4 - 6 Small plastic cups
1 Knife
1 Snail (i use astrea)
1 SMALL hermit (not needed)
Substrate from main tank
Frag plug
Frags

How To Make It

1. Put the breeding trap in your tank, and add the substrate.
2. Add the snail and hermit
3. Get out your cups, knife, and frag plug.
4. Make a cut through the cup egaul to the bottom of the plugs length.
5. Make a hole in the middle of the cup big enough so the plug fits through.
6. Add these to the trap. 4 of these can fit, with enough sand so the snail has room.
7. Position the trap so its out of the way, but still gets light.
8. Add your frags. As i said earlier, its suitable for shrooms and zoas only.

There You Go! You have made a frag box for you zoas and shrooms. They can grow in here without being bothered. You can also do this with an in tank refugium, but a breeder trap is much cheaper.

go add a picture, this is very interesting. It's similar in idea to my in tank refugium, which is also spacious enough to heal frags.

My only concern would be a lack of flow, but this should work well to heal mushrooms and let them anchor. I don't know about zoas though, they need a bit more circulation, but a great idea for shrooms.
