Hi Guys

I would just like to hear some of your advise on this topic
I am planning to change my small 8GAL tank into a small FOWLR
with one clownfish and a few cleaners
I have all the basics(filter heater etc)
Can you guys just give me a guide to with what i need to set up my
FOWLR and any changes i need to make
or if this is not right
thanks

Sounds like you're new to the saltwater world, if so, 8G is a bit small to start with so if you are certain you will be using the 8G make sure you reads, read and read some more! Things go bad quicker in smaller tanks.

As for your stock, I would suggest something other than a clownfish. 8G is too small IMO for clownfish and one clownfish is (to me) a sad clownfish :( They are much more interesting in pairs. There are many small fish you would be able to do in there. Look at some fish in the goby or blenny family, firefish and some jawfish might also be suitable.

What kind of filter will you be using?

Make sure to start a journal, we love those things :good:

I am using a BOYU fp 18e submersible filter
i am not sure if this will be suitable but please put in any helpful comments

The reason for one clown fish is because i live in South Africa and there isn't
much of a variety of marine fish if there is at all at the LPS
