Found An Apple Snail Clutch

Very cute, my envy grows!
The spots will go as the snails get bigger, then the real colour of the snails will some out.

Purple stipe! No offense, but could you fix that?

Why the hell did you post that? Tell me what is the point.
What are you, the bloody TYPO Police? So your going to go to every thread and check for TYPOs? Great use of taxpayers money.....

they do look a little dry, if you have a mist sprayer you could spray them once in a while, if you feel the clutch you will notice that it has a hard surface, when its ready to hatch it wil go soft , when mine are soft i just take them off and swish the baby snails out in the water.

you will just get a mix of purple stipe and pink , of all puple or all pink,,lol

some people are just so petty

Look at the difference between these two babies. Looks like purple and pink I think?

Then the pink ones round the bottom here and purple above:

Looks like it, the dark body just darkens the shell a little. Cant wait to see their developement.

Hey! Here is an idea. Why not take a photo every day of one (the same one each time (but what are the chances of finding it!)) next to a small object and we can see how it grows. Could be made into a slideshow....

 I think I'd have to keep one in isolation to be able to photograph it everyday! I'll Keep updating with pics. At the moment they are all scattered about the tank and they remind me of when I had limpet snails which were a pain in the bum. The baby apples are welcome additions though. Will be looking to sell them when they are a bit bigger. So if your interested keep a look out in the buy, sell swap, forum.

And the clutch, looks like they've hatched out the middle but there could still be babies in there?:

How long has it been, 3 days?
All the babies will probably have left, but crack open the eggs to see if you can free any, some may be stuck.
They have grown quite a bit!

the one in the first pic looks like an ivory to me. time will tell.

take off the egg clutch and swish it in the water and help the rest out these could be stuck and will dry out and die.

Thank-you. Really nice of you to say!

And thanks everyone for nice comments. :D

Wow! You've got beautiful babies    Congrats!!!

wow they look really cool, congrats

can i just ask how long they take to hatch after they are laid?

i have a pair of chocolate apple snails and they've been laying quite often but cant seem to find the right spot, it seems too damp and they keep falling off... at the moment though they is a clutch that have been there for a little while but i dont know if they will hatch...

these can hatch any time between 7 and 14 days mine average around 9 days all depends on humidity.
