Foster pets

I am thinking about becoming a foster parent for dogs who are about to be put to sleep. is anyone else involved in something like this? the program rescues dogs who are about to be euthanized because they cant find homes. then they advertise untill the dog is placed with a good home. i like the idea, but i would love to hear from someone who does this sort of thing. here in alaska, it is called Friends of Pets.

this is the group i work with. its tough to let them go, but its extremely rewarding. i have an album of my fosters. i love to look through it. i also take dogs out on the weekends that are being kept in the kennels and they can get some public exposure. the only problem is that you want to adopt every single one of your fosters, but then you find yourself realizing that if you did that you wouldn't be able to foster anymore and there are just so many dogs out there that need your help.
