Ah, the new F1 season -- Malaysian GP is more like watching holiday traffic, they are only missing caravans!

Monaco is generally worse. May as well have no overtaking signs.

Ah, well, I am a fan of F1 and this race is good, not without drama from Riccardo and Malaysian is more about tactical and strategy, much the same for Monaco .

AND its a British driver win this time, Hamilton!

I like both F1 and MotoGP but I find myself uninspired by the new cars, reduced noise and general lack of drama in F1 so far.

I hope Rossi makes an impression this year as I don't think he has too many left in him now.

Ahhh, Monaco...........

*drifts off into daytime reverie*

I rather freaked the wife out in Monaco, we were there 2 years ago, and it was all new to her. But being an F1 fan, I was able to navigate the entire circuit from memory (with the exception of Casino Square, which we had to go the "wrong" way around).

Sat having lunch at the chicane, there is a pizza restaurant which is basically a large Portacabin, right in the middle of the track at that point, and we were watching the workmen craning this restaurant out of the way, ready for the race.

I was in Abu Dhabi last year for my daughters wedding on she took us to Yas Island, the location of the Abu Dhabi GP, where, on a Tuesday evening, the circuit is open to walk, run or cycle around as many times as you like. You can walk under the hotel that changes colour at night and you have to watch out for mad cyclists who seem to be pretending they are in F1 cars. Oh, and it was warm, so wonderfully warm.

What's the point of being on an F1 circuit, and not pretending you are in an F1 car?
