This is in no way me showing off wealth. This is me sharing old and foreign money. My grandmother brought me some foreign money from her travels. 20 different money from 19 different countries. I really like geography. I am from the United States, btw.

That's so cool! I have money from nicaragua, Finland, Canada, NZ, Australia, Indonesia, China, Japan and South Korea but I think thats about it. I used to have old Italian but lost it :( it's fun to collect!

My main foreign money stock is a roll of strangely similar green US dollars in various denominations that I plan to spend on fish stuff once this pandemic is done.

Since this is a fish forum, here is a Costa Rican 5 thousand Colones bill alongside a small, wild caught parachromis dovii. I took this photo in back in April.

I work in a foreign exchange bureau so get to see loads of weird notes and coins!
People sometimes come in with stacks of notes that they have found during a clear out and it's fun trying to work out where they're from. Some we can exchange, but not the really old ones. We have a charity box for foreign coins and worthless old notes and it's amazing what we find in there too. I sometimes wonder if any of the notes are really rare and valuable from a collector's point if view!

I have a couple of old US Sacagawea dollars around here somewhere. I used to have a couple of zinc pennies from WWII, and a few old wheat pennies. Always liked stuff like that. Holy cow, I just looked them up and some of those pennies are valuable! What the heck did I do with them???

Since this is about money. When I traveled around the world and got to Syria, we realized that you could be millionaires for a day. So, we all exchanged enough money at the border, so we ended up with a million pounds. Then we tried to drink it, but I can't remember what happened after that🤪😜
