For Julie

K, I'll snap some shots as I sort through them tonight. I still don't even know who's going with me.
Yes, I have one that I absolutely cannot part with, I adore him, even being away from him for a couple of hours is too much to bear  Ok, I'm not thaaat attached but he's pretty damn cute :p I think I'm going to move him out of the fish room and on to the desk next to his father (and me!)

I am considering a trip to the show/auction that I believe you're attending.

I've never been to one before, but I'd just attend the auction portion on Sunday. Do you have to 'bid' on a betta or just purchase one? I'd like to know more information about this before I make the commute from east of Austin.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide!

By the way, those guys are beautiful.

Yes, the show director (Mike Randall) has told me that he has been getting auction bettas in the mail all week (and that his cats are drinking from their bowls  ).So I'm sure there will be quite a selection!

From the best of my knowledge, it is bidding. Like a regular auction. Saturday is the auction preview where you get to walk around and write down those that you're interested in. If you come up on Sunday, come early so you get a chance to check them out closely ;)

Ok, I found this looker in the bunch but he was being difficult :grr:

I agree, I'm hoping that's the one she picks, I kinda had the feeling it would be so I already set him to the side :D If not, he can just go with me tomorrow ;) The other one is cute too!

Edit~
This one is a terrible, terrible pic but if you look closely at his tail, it curves around and has a very distinctive HM appeal...

Glad I'm not Julie  I'd hate to have to pick, you should have seen me checking them out tonight, it took forever to decide on these being the best out of all of them, there are many, many other beauties, I just wanted to offer up some variety...

Oh man, I don't blame you a bit......stunning betta and I'm not even a betta lover. But that guy is enough to make me change my mind for sure!!

Aww man, I love him so much already!!!

And wuv, I love you too. :kana: You're the best, thank you so much.

Perfect!!!

 you too Julie, I know you'll give them a terrific home!

Wuv,

It has really been a lot of fun watching the babies grow and seems like only yesterday when you were taking pictures of the spawning. I sure wish I lived closer to you so I could go to that auction and try for one of those orange beauties. An orange male would be perfect for my Sunkist girl (orange and black female). Great job at raising them. I hope you keep posting pictures of the ones you keep as they continue to mature.

I agree with Silver- those two are the best looking! Thanks for posting pics of their progress wuv! And Julie, you made an excellent decision IMO ;)

awwww, you guys are too sweet!

I deleted a lot of pics just now so we don't eat up bandwidth
