If you are like me then you will love your fish. I was a complete beginner to keeping tropical fish so i needed to know where to start. I found a great website where i bought an ebook called "A Beginners Guide To Tropical Fish". I downloaded the Ebook in seconds and it has taught me all of the basics that I need to know to keeping aquarium fish.

Did that ebook get into the fishless cycle? I find that all the fish books I read, and the 3 I purchased said nothing about it.


Places like this forum and other internet sites, was only place I could find deatiled info!

The books I've read do not get in to fishless cycling. They also tend to be rather one sided, showing only the author's habits, experiences, routines, etc. I personally think checking various sources (ie, forums, google searches, other websites) is the way to go.

But I do agree, it's good to see you doing your research!!

I read the Ebook. After enter all my info it said it was FREE, so I never did hit submit and just log off and did it again and it still said it was free.

Anyhow I thought there was some good basic info in there, the part that bugged me was the part about added MOST of your first at one time. Well if you do a FISHLESS cycel them maybe this would be the way to do it. I know a few people that have tried and never did get it right. As soon as I can find some clear ammonia I plan on trying it with my next 10 gallon tank.

If you are using FISH, then if you add most of the fish you are going to keep, most than likely you'll losse most of your fish. I have used THIS site and have had good luck doing a fish cycling.

The bottem line no one place has it all. Message boards and webpages are the best place to learn. Don't take my word for it ask anyone and the are most lickly to agree.

You could also check out the library. There are also tons of recources right in front of you on the etherweb
