HELP,
My new female is really small and young and I think my betta food might be a little to big for her. I feed her and she takes it in her mouth and spits it back out. What do I do?

I use to feed mine baby pellets. They were hard to find and I actually could only find them at a certain walmart (shocking, I know!). You can cut them up into finer pieces, but I've found that they sink to the bottom too quickly (although she ate them up)!

what kind of food is it? she may just not like that food. i have a very picky eater of a fish. he won't eat pellets (someone told me it might be a texture thing, just like how some humans don't like a food because of how it feels) so i feed him flakes and i crumble them up a bit so they're easier for him to eat. if they're to big he'll kind of gnaw on them for a while and then spit them out.

yeah i have a few different bettas and one eats the pellets and the others like the flakes.

hmmm... i don't know what that is. i use nutrafin. the little bugger loves the stuff. but first try crushing it up. if that doesn't work, try a different food.

no problem. i think i have 5 different types of food for betta that i got when i was trying to figure out what he would eat. the little stinker will only eat 2 of them... his blood worms and his flakes.
