most fish will eat veg, so i'm sure shrimp will, haven't tried it on mine yet but if it means them being fed then its got to be worth a try, and my females enjoy cucumber now and then

why don't you feed your betta one end but at the same time drop a pellet the other side? so he doesnt notice and the shrimp can eat.
