I feed a mixture of food in my tank, Hikari tropical pellets (about 3mm in size), complete aquarium flake (crushed up), then every other day, an algae wafer goes in and once a week, bloodworm.

This is done, in the hopes that my guppies, bettas, shrimp, khulis and corys all get what they need, even though the bettas will eat everything

What is a food best suited for dwarf cichlids/apistos? Would any of the following be ok?

Hikari bio-gold (discus)
Hikari cichlid gold mini
Hikari cichlid excel

I would need something that sinks, to give the apistos a chance.

Thanks

Get some of the mini pellet sinking Hikari Cichlid Gold. The Apistos and Khulis will love it.

I always liked Tetra prima, havn't used any of the smaller Hikari food so cannot personally comment on that.

A food I would recommend though is the 'New Era' range. Quite expensive but I've had good results with it.

I use a cichlid 'micro granule' from Nutrafin. It sinks pretty rapidly so that the bottom dwellers get their share.
