RESTARTED MY TANK ABOUT 2 DAYS AGO. I HAVE LIKE LITTELE PARTICLES FLOATING IN MY WATER.,I HAVE A 55 GAL TANK. THE PARTICLES STORE UP IN THE FILTER AND THEN RELEASE INTO THE TANK.WILL CLEAR UP FOR A COUPLE OF MINUTES AND THEN RELEASE A CLOUD AGAIN. WILL STAY CLEAR AS LONG AS I DO NOT ADD WATER SAFE TABLETS TO WATER. NEEDE ADVISE

The bacteria is trying to grow (hence the cloudiness). You can use some anti-cloudy products from your LFS, but it will eventually go away on it's own. I would personally stop treating the tank and just change out 5% of the water every other day till it isn't cloudy and the tank is stabilized. Make sure the water you add has something added to it. If you don't like water safe, use TetraSafe or NovAqua. But definitely don't add regular untreated tap water, or you will have to start the whole bacteria thing from scratch again. Good luck!

I HAVE ALREADY TRIED CLEAR WATER AND ANOTHER BRAND TO HELB WITH THE FOGGINESS, I HAVE BEEN TREATING THE TAP WATER WITH CLOROUT AND WATER SAFE TABLETS WHEN I DO A WATER CHANGE. I ALSO USE SCALDING HOT WATER TO FILL MY TANKS TO HELP ELIMINATE BACTERIA. I HAVE TO PICK UP MY FISH FROM THE PET STORE TODAY DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE OKAY TO PUT THEM IN. 1 BLACK SHARK, 4 GROUMAIS, AND 1 PLECO FOR NOW

DO NOT use hot water in a fish tank. A bacteria bloom is a perfectly natural thing, it needs to happen in many tanks. It will pass in time, just be patient, best to not try to "fix" it.

Oh and about the fish... Is there a possibility of putting them in another tank? Or is this your only one? Gouramis can be sensitive about water quality, I'm not sure they would fare too well being thrown into a cycling tank.

I HAVE NO OTHER THANK AT HTE MOMENT JUST SOLD MY OTHER 4
HAVE HAD MY BLACK SHARK ON HOLD FOR A WEEK THEY CAN NO LONGER
HOLD HIM FOR ME. IM THINKING HE WILL BE OKAY ILL JUST HAVE TO WAIT ON THE OTHER FISH FOR KNOW

GET YOUR CAPS LOCK KEY FIXED BECAUSE ITS A LOT OF FUN TO READ POSTS LIKE THIS.

id wait it out, why get into the habit of adding chemicals to the tanks? do u realy want a build up of the stuff? or maybe u like spending lots of money on usless chems and carbon to help u to remove it?

all it means is ur tank is cycling, its treating itself!

and why would u put scalding hot water into a tank?

u are adding dechlorinator right?

i wouldnt bother picking the fish up yet, u realy need ur tank to settle, or u might as well just throw ur money into a waste bin.. because thats where ur fish might end up goin.

may i ask how many hrs/days this tank has been 're-setup' ?

are u adding any ammonia?

what are ur test readinngs if u have taken any?

Based on everything I've read here, I strongly advise against putting your fish in there.

Definitely don't use scalding hot water. You are killing the bacteria you need to process fish waste. Every time you do that, you make the tank cycling backtrack a few steps. Pay now or pay later.

If you want to put some fish in there, use guppies or mollies... something hardy that can withstand some stress. Can you get your money back and buy your gourami later?

I would also wait. None of the fish you mentioned are hard to find, you can probably find them later. I'd try fishless cycling, or like Sassy here said use something really hardy.
