Fmale Guppy Ripped Open At The Front Of The Chest.

Look for the expiry date on box or bottle.
How long have you had the med.

Ok.
Just add the med then.
Good Luck.

sorry one last question, they are pregnant, will this kill the babies, if there is an internal parasite problem would that have killed them anyway?

Meant to half dose with fry.

Internal parasites do alot of damage to internal organs and cause bacterial infections. Once a fish is wasted away its usually best to put the fish out of its misery.
If you suspect a fish of having internal parasites you need to treat the whole tank.
Internal parasites can pass onto the fry inside the mother fish.

Camallanus

Symptoms:

When the fish is stationary, deep red worms can be seen protruding from the anal pore. They are only visible when the fish is still because the worms retreat into the intestine at the fish’s slightest movement. Other signs may include an inflamed and enlarged anus. In severe infestations, the fish may become emaciated and spinal curvature may also occur.

Cause:

The parasitic worms Camallanus Cotti and Camallanus lacustris. These small, livebearing parasitic worms attach to the intestinal walls and rectum with pinchers. The worm’s grip is so tight that any attempts to remove it forcibly will rip away tissue from the intestinal wall. The worm’s pinching causes ischemia (reduced blood flow) to that part of the intestine. In time, the tissue to that part of the intestine will die, at which time the worm will migrate to another part of the intestine. This causes perforations throughout the intestine, which allows other pathogens to gain entry. If the fish is not treated, either the parasite or bacterial will kill the fish. Camallanus infestations occur most often in livebearing fish such as Guppies and Mollies, though infection is possible in all fish. Camallanus infestations are contagious. All fish, including those not yet showing visible symptoms, as well as the aquarium, should be treated.

Treatment:

Treat with Internal Parasite Guard, Pipzine, Disco-Worm, Trichlorfon or Fluke-Tabs as well as a medicated food to prevent a bacterial infection.

have no fry, and treated the whole tank, there was sum white looking poo in the corner of the tank. the poo i did see was ait red but that was after eating blood worm, maybe it didnt digest properly. ive not visible seen any parasites.

the fish are behaving abit more normal except one, i cant remember if he had it before i dont think he did but his lips are black and the others arnt.. hopefully this medicine fixes them. They all feed happily which i guess is a good sign.

Have you checked water stats.
Have you lost any fish to being really skinny, or bent spines.

my water stats are still the same as when i done it a few days ago which i put on the previous page. Ive only been keeping fish for about 4 months now and never lots any fish untill i bought 6 female guppys. A day after getting them i could tell 1 had swim bladder and she died. 2 days later another had exploded. it was then i bought another tank and stuck them in that with filter media form my bigger tank. the tank they came from the fish are all fine just these arnt so i guess they came to me diseased.

Ok.
I would get the wormer med and worm your fish.

R.I.P.

I would buy that wormer I left the link too.

the one with the black mouth has jsut died :(. the other fish in there look fine, my medicine said to add some more on the 4th and then a water change on the 7th so i guess i carry on and do that. Once thats complete shall i add the wormer you recoomended? is it a good idea to use the wormer on both tanks?

Ok.
R.I.P. Poor thing.
Yes add the wormer once the med has been removed with black carbon. Don't forget to remove black carbon again when using the worming med.
If fish have been in both tanks that have internal parasites you will have to treat both tanks.
