are there any attachments that can be fitted to a fluval 4 which will improve airation while reducing the speed of water circulation? (it seems a little fast moving)

doesnt it already have both?

it should have a lever to make the current stronger, or lighter. and the output should have a part that fits on the top to suck in air, which will create bubbles, and disturb the surface more

i have a fluval 2, and it has both...

yes it has that, but i was wondering if there is anything that will spread the flow from the outlet to break more of the waters surface.
The circulation seems a bit fast as i had a live plant in my tank and it was always leaning but to the current but then it died.

if possible, try placing it horizontally in the tank, with the output facing up... i've done this before, might give you what you're looking for?

other then that, you may want to look into getting a differnet filter, i have even seen some that will move back and forth on their own, but these are quite expensive. or mabe one that creates a wave like motion

as far as i know, there are no parts you can buy for a fluval, other then what already comes with it

Old thread resurrection.

I have just bought a Hydor Bio Flo attachment to go on a Fluval 4 underwater filter to help disperse the flow. Works very well. It turns around as flow goes through it and breaks the surface up.
