Fluval U2 Filter Not Working

off on honeymoon 2mz just did a weekly clean of tank to last whilst away. i noticed that last week and the week before the filter didnt visibly seem to be shifting water but then at other angles water movement seemed ok. any way tonight i realise having plugged it back in its just dead. will take back in the morning but keep my filter media. only had it 4 months!. whats the potential damage i may have having not had filter working for 2 weeks is everything going to be ok?

I have this filter and sometimes find that the impeller gets stuck after turning it off to do WC.

I just plug it in, pull out the middle section and use a pen or similar to get the impeller moving.4

My Fluval U2 is 4 weeks old and when I powered the thing off/on there was no power, I was going to take the thing apart but thought I would hit it with my hand under the motor, to my surpise the Filter started working again, you might just have a loose connection or something might be clogged in the motor. let me know how you get on.

Ive got that filter and ive had no problems with it, let me know (by pm) if you'd like a spare i could post for a few quid.

ok will plug back in and take all cartridges out and have apoke with a pen. gave thae bottom a tap earlier its like it just dead. it takes a 3 amp fuse i put a 13 in as thats all i could find and still dead. try this out now

it sounds like theres a bit of a design fault or something.

genius thanks all you are a credit to this site sorted in less than 5 minutes now thats what i call service. i gave it a nudge and it worked with a pen . ok have i caused any damage now having filter running for 2 weeks is everything going to be ok should my water still be good
