Fluval Spray Bar Kit

has anyone bought the fluval spray bay kit for the external filter?

I'm wondering how it attaches to the ribbed hose, plus what is the bar diameter? I'm going to replace the ribbed hose with eheim tubing as the ribed hose is clogged with sludge from years of use.
