Hi, I have just ordered a Fluval Roma 240.
There are holes drilled in the bottom of the tank to run the filter inflow and outflow through, there are caps provided to plug the drilled holes if required.

I want to know if anyone has this aquarium and if they have it set up with or without the filter running through the bottom of the tank ? I also need to know if I should get some aquarium silicone in to seal the holes once filter set up etc... ?

Any advice or feedback on this greatly appreciated :good:

My Fluval Roma 240L is setup with my Fluval 405 filter connected via the pre drilled holes using the kit that came with the filter works great and avoids having to have hoses coming into the tank at the top. The intake/output stems can be planted in front of to really disguise them too.

I didnt silcone anything the clips and screw threads make such a tight seal its never dripped a drop that I can see.
