Fluval Fx6 filter media

Hi all,

I purchased an Fx6 on amazon that was discounted and described as "brand new - packaging will be damaged", well it arrived with only the sponges that surround the baskets for media. The rest of the media was missing. What do you recommend filling the baskets with? This will be for a heavily stocked 210 gallon.

more sponges or you can add ceramic beads to one section, but I just do all sponges in my filters.

I can answer.this seen as I've just filled my fx6 with new media.

You will notice everyone is different...

Bottom basket
Side sponges
Fluval bio pad
750g prefilter media

Middle basket
Side sponges
Fluval fine filter pad
1kg or seachem matrix

Top basket
Side sponges
Polishing pad material.
