Hi all,


I have had my fluval running for about 2 years now, I have cleaned the sponges in it (in tank water) but how often if at all should I change the media, including sponges and all other media?

Sponges - only when they start to disintegrate.

As for the rest it depends upon what sort of media you have in it.

Biological media should only need a rinse in tank water and be good indefinitely.

Thanks for that, pretty much what I thought, I am still doing the right thing in rinsing the sponges though when they get really grubby?

Yes absolutely

I use tank water for rinsing all filter media
