Sleeping Somewhere. Or doing water changes. Or run
I have had my fluval for ages, am very happy with it.

The only problem is when I change or clean the media. For a while after I connect the hosing back and start the filter again it spits bubbles. I am thinking this is because the new media is dry and doesn't have the softness of the existing media (I change 2/4 pads everytime)....

Does anyone else get this? Is it normal?

I've been running two 304's and they do exactly the same. I think it's just the air that's trapped in the filter media/pads after they are cleaned.

why do you change so much media?

only time you need to change it , is if it is literally falling apart IMO
it should last you quite a few years

The only media's that would need changing is if you use Carbo that should be changed every 4 weeks I also change my filter floss ( don't use carbon ) when it gets all nasty maybe once every 3 months or so..
