Fluval 304 Intake Hose Not Working

intake and out take hoses quit working took everything apart broke self primer thing trying to primer it help how can i get this thing to work

I'm assuming the 305 is the same as my 205 - is the black lever all the way down?

Remove pipe's at filter end. Open up the valve into a bucket, if water does not come out of the inlet pipe, insert a short bit of hose and suck on it until water flows out of the tank. Shut valve connect back onto filter, re open valve allow filter to fill and switch on power.
