Fluval 204 Not Working!

help! my fluval 204 has stopped working.
the water isn't actually pumping into the filter using the primer.

ive read through all the other topics regarding fluval filters and have tried what they've suggested (putting the out pipe under the water level, turning pump upside down to get the water over the impeller, even pre-priming etc)

i've basically come to the conclusion now that it is broken - unless anyone can suggest anything else to try?

also how long will my fish last without the filter running? i have an air pump running but i know that this only helps to a certain degree?

hello aleana firstly when you turn the filter on does it make a noise.you can take the top of the fluval and turn it on quickly to see if the impeller is working.if it is empty the filter and set it up as you would normally have it open all the taps and water should just syphon into the filter once the filter is full of water turn it on and suck the return pipe i no it sounds gross but it should get it working and get another filter because fluvals are rubbish

does the impeller work on my fluval it kept on getting jammed up but you can remove it, i cleaned it and mine worked fine again.
