Anyone had any experience of these tanks? As there about the same price, but the fluval is 20cm longer?

But can decide wether the built in juwel system or fluval would be a better all round buy?

Anyone?

I have juwel tank, they are ok apart from the large filter!! I would personally go with Fluval just because its 20cm longer.

Good luck

Don't quote me on this but from what I've read the internal filters can be a boooger to clean whereas the externals are much easier to get at.

I have the fluval tank probably better for cichlids as its a 4ft tank and its cheaper so you can spend the rest on a decent external filter.

I have the Juwel Vision 180. I love this tank - because of it's bowed front glass - not very common to see at all. The first thing I dod though, was to remove the internal Juwel filter (easy to do!), and install 2 external Eheim filters - one each side of the tank cabinet. Everything is hidden apart from the 2 return spray bars.

Just a thought but why not buy a tank from Windsor Aquatics ( The TFF sponsor ) I hear the prices are alot lower than "Branded" tanks, they also deliver. Worth a look.

P.S. I don't like Juwel tanks, those horrid filters and flimsy lids aren't for me.

I would go for the longer tank without a doubt. Your going to be limited with a 100cm tank and you`ll always wish you had the extra 20cm !

What filtration has the Fluval got with it ?

Fluval +4 , not much good for a cichlid tank could add a rena xp3 and job done

Why not buy the Eheim spray bar that you build yourself and just attach the returns to each end of one spray bar, just a thought.

Not sure I understand exactly what you mean? Are you saying that both filters would feed back into the same spray bar, but from opposite ends? Would this not force water back down the return tube towards the other filter?

Well i went for the fluval tank in the end, but could get the 120cm one, so had to go for 101cm one! Still came with a the fluval 4+ filter though, but im looking to move completely to an external filter preferbale before i start cycling the tank!

Any ideas on a cheapish external filter for 180L tank?

Rena xp3 one of my lfs is selling them for £80.0 ,Rena also include media.
