Fluval 103, Carbon Trapped Inside!

Hey all, just in the process of setting up my 'new' (ebay) fluval 103, and upon opening the packaging, I see the carbon has escaped its packaging. I've managed to clean out every piece, except for one stuck in the pump housing! aaaargh. How can I get this out? I've removed the impeller etc. And bar tearing open the pump housing (will it matter If I do this?) I dont know what to do. If I left it in there, would it certainly wreck the pump?

If by one peice you mean one little pebble sized peice of carbon or smaller, then no it won't ruin it. If you turn it on, the impeller will dislodge it fairly quickly.
